The best traits of 5A without the stiffness. They are the best sounding jazz ride sticks.

I first purchased this for my jazz ensemble course back in 2018, and I have regularly kept purchasing them since then. They provide a great sound on the cymbals and drum heads that actually deliver genuine jazz articulations. Compared to the Modern Jazz series, these sticks are the right weight and size for ensemble performance. The Modern Jazz series drumsticks are too thick and provide more of a fusion-funk sound than a traditional jazz sound, but these Big Band drumsticks are true to their name. They also work very well for other genres such as classic rock because they allow for more color and dynamics than other rock-heavy drumsticks.
