Vic Firth Drumsticks 101

Vic Firth

Description

The Vic Firth Jen Ledger signature stick is crafted in hickory and features a shaft diameter that will feel especially familiar to 3A and 5B players. The 16-½” length gives the stick an "extreme” feel and a unique medium-length taper flanges back out into a bold tear drop tip. This design affords the player excellent response while providing plenty of leverage for power. The unique wood tip creates clear sounds on drums and cymbals.

I am a newbie to drums and I bought my first pair of sticks ever from a skillet concert. These sticks are epic! The feel is amazing not to big or small weight is perfect. I can hit hard and it sounds great. I also have a pair of 5a sticks that came with my pad and they suck way to light . You will never catch with anything but Jen's signature sticks .

    • I absolutely love these drumsticks!

I use these sticks whenever I play the drums in church whether it be for the youth choir or when the main drummer is out and I get called up to play (I am the backup drummer for the main drummer in my church). I started out playing with Vic Firth 5a sticks and then I switched to Vic Firth Rock N sticks. I found these sticks originally on this website and because I am a fan of Jen Ledger; I decided to get a couple pairs of her sticks. I was not disappointed! These sticks combine the feel of a 5a and the sound and projection that the Rock N has. They are light enough for anyone who wants to transition from a 5a to the Jen Ledger sticks. These sticks have great projection on both the drums and the cymbals. They are also extremely durable for long performances and it fits my hand perfectly. When they are in my hands, the drumstick doesn't feel too big nor too small. I believe this the best pair of drumsticks that I have played with in my entire life!

    • Will continue to buy these sticks
