Been using HD4s for years. Will not change.

As an older player (45 plus years) I have used just about everything out there that can be used for the genre that I play. From classic rock, to jazz, to swing, to country I have tried em all. I had started having trouble with my hands at the end of long playing sessions. I found these sticks when I was looking for something different and I have not looked back. For some reason the response of the stick made playing easier on my hands which in turn made it fun to play again. I make a large portion of my annual income from gigs, sessions, and such and feel like I have many more years left in me now. Thanks to the VIc Firth HD4. They are great for cross stick rim sounds, ride cymbals and I like the way they feel when I strike the drum dead on. Yes they do wear out a little quicker than some other sticks I have used, but when you depend on drums to feed the family, you don't mind spending to make sure your equipment is just what you need. Give em a try.

I have pretty much always bought these sticks. i just cant get over how great they feel and sound, Though i blow through a pair about every two weeks. they aren't the strongest sticks out there but i believe they very well might be the best sounding.

these sticks are really good, great balance and everything, but there are a couple of problems, these break SUPER QUICK they lasted 3 weeks withh me. Vic Firth is the only stick I've known to slip out of my hands, I didn't have that problem with Vater, or ever Zildjian. these are pretty good... while they last.

These sticks are good if your a beginner but if your playing stuff like Slipknot or Dragonforce I would recommend going for some more sturdy sticks of you want to really blow some heads off!!!
