We're recommended to me by a "Bossa Nova" drummer at the Music Box n he wasn't "Boogie-Woogien" me. I even asked him if he was from Brazil like his singer n he said "'H' no, I'm from Ireland". N I thought, "Well shiver me timbers" n went out n bought 'em!

Love the length, the weight and feel... the cymbals come lave with these sticks! I'm constantly running across sticks from other guys, but I keep coming back to the sweetness!

I love the feel and sound of these sticks for jazz. When I want to relax, I play along to the entire Miles Davis album "Kind of Blue" with Jimmy Cobb on drums. Using these sticks and my medium Zildjian K Constantinople ride, I get almost the exact same sound as the recording. If you look at the Vater Jimmy Cobb sticks, they are actually a lot like these - light weight with a round bead to bring out the sound of the cymbal. I also use these sticks with my Zildjian Sweet Ride and get the same exact sound as Joe Morello form Dave Brubeck Quartet on Take Five. I also use them for classic rock sometimes if I have to do lots of continuous eight notes like on Freebird. They light weight makes continuous playing easier. Great sticks.

The Sweet Rides are lightwieght which is a plus for Jazz music. I see why Spanky and Chris Dave endorse these stix. They're sweet as the name suggests. They sound great on the kit. The extra small bead gives the cymbals a soulful clarity that's simply beautiful. I'd recomend them to anyone.
