I was looking at brushes to use on cajon and came across these. Wow! I love these things. If you want to play bass and snare drum style/sound, these work great in producing the lows and high snap.

I tried several types of brushes to give my cajon some depth and personality. They work great for doing acoustic gigs where the drum doesn't have to be as pronounced...... they give it that nice raspy, smokey sound. Durable too....

Good product, only thing of note is that in the picture it shows each brush has 3 rubber bands to hold the brushes together. The product in fact only has 2 of them. This was actually the reason I went with these over anther brand (to get an extra rubber band), and it didnt have them. This picture is misleading.

recently bought a pair of these brushes in hopes of using my cahon for busking. the brushes worked out great off the bat. I had apprehensions about the rubber bands at first, it durability was my concern. I do primarily funk/punk drumming, and the rubber bands wore away quickly. I started to wrap tape around the plastic wires and found that to be superior to the rubber band ten folds. By wrapping 3/4 of the brush tightly and leaving the 1/4 of the tips expose, I found that I can get both volume on the cahon and a nice sound and respond on my cymbals.I used athletic tape and it works great. I image other types can work as well
