These sticks are good for electronics. I like to use them for practice they offer a bit more resistence than regular sticks which only increases your strength and speed. They sound a bit thin on acoustics.
Acoustic Solid Splashsticks

These are the best Splashsticks yet! I play in a praise band and sometimes need lower volume than I can get with traditional sticks. I have tried several brands of wood dowel type sticks. The trouble is they aren't quite loud enough and don't give very good sound on the toms. The Acoustic Solid is not really "solid" but a dowel cut twice to make quarters so it is a little heavier versus multi-dowel sticks which produces better sound. Also, the plastic strips protect the wood from splintering and breaking as fast. If you like the sound of nylon tipped sticks on cymbals you will love these.
