After using it for a gig, I can say that I'm quite pleased with this stand. It was easy to transport, quick to set up and sturdy enough to withstand rigors of playing without feeling the least bit unstable. The minor issues I ran into were: awkward sustain pedal placement because of the way the legs are designed and the plastic lid that houses the arms at the top of the unit doesn't snap closed very snugly so if the unit is not carried with a deliberat upward tilt, the arms can start to slide out (better design or a small secondary sliding lock could have made this more reliable) But I felt that the compactness, sleek appearance and relativey easy set up outweighed the minor flaws.

overall great quality stand, but it has two glaring problems, one of which i have solved. the upright gets in the way of the Card slot on the fusion 8 hd.( unsolvable, inless they come up with some longer arms, thus knocking off the balance.) the feet get in the way of pedals. i built a riser panel sam heighth as the feet, so i could get the pedals in the right place. like the concept, but perhaps could design similar with two posts, solving the problem altogether.

There are cheaper stands, but I wouldn't trust them. I needed a strong stand for my Trition Extreme & Roland Fantom, the Ultimate Apex AX48B stand is solid, well made, professional rock steady. It's easy to set up & take down with no tools, and the sleek hollow column becomes its own carrying case. I was suprised how sturdy it was , considering the small footprint, but it gets the job done, and it looks cool having one keyboard above another. If you buy this you'll have confidence that your keyboards are supported well.
