I use this cabinet at rehearsals and coffee house gigs on upright bass. I usually just use my TC Electronics BQ 500 when running this cabinet solo. For bigger gigs, I pair it with the 2X8 Elf cabinet and run my Quilter 800 Watt Bass Block. These elf cabinets are the real deal. I used to only have the 2x8 cabinet for coffee house gigs and rehearsals, which is a cabinet that produces a crystal clear reproduction of my upright without the phony mids. When we started doing bigger gigs I added the 1x10 which added a lot of depth and bottom to the overall sound. It quickly became my amp of choice for rehearsals and coffee house gigs.

  • I would buy this again, maybe add another one in the future.

Using it with the Elf head, great sound with the package. Like any new equipment it takes a bit to dial in the sound or sounds that are pleasing to you. I play with fingers or pick, found the sweet spots as they say. With bigger jobs I'm setting it on a EV 15" cab.... kudos to Peavey to take on this Trace Elliot endeavor.

I waited to review my two new Trace Elliott 10" bass cabinets once I used them at a gig. I did three sets. The first two with my Orange OB1-500 and they could handle the amp and the large room without a DI easley. The third set I used the ELF amp 200w and no one new I switched amps. When I told them they said the sound and EQ were identical. They had a surprisingly transparent sound. I thought I might miss a tweeter but they get the low and high end nicely. At less than 17lbs each they are incredible cabs.

  • A great little cab with a big sound

I think this cabinet is great to play at any venue. I suggest buying two cabinets for a deeper sound. The amp I use with it is a Gallien Krueger MB200 and it sounds nice and punchy.

  • Guts beyond belief from such a small box

I'm using this as my smallest choice under a MarkBass Little Mark III, along with a TRV210 and TRV115, or combos. It's super small, light, but sounds WAY bigger. It's great with the HiFi low end from the LM III, yet clear as a bell. You probably won't keep up with a loud drummer with only one of these, but two really might. I love this as a portable cab for acoustic gigs and rehearsals. It might also work very well in a show band pit. I'd buy another if it got stolen!
