Very Nice
I use this in my set up every time I play a gig. It puts my bongos at the right height for me sitting on my throne. The double bracing makes this stand strong. Highly Recommend.

Too Short!
The stand is ok ,but a little too short. I am 6' 2 and play the congas sitting down, and i need about 3-4 more inches for it too line up with my conga set up.

Works great for LP Matador not good for Meinl

This stand works well for my LP Matador Bongos. My Meinl's don't fit in the bracket but they barely fit in my LP Full Size stand which uses a strap instead of a bracket like the Toca stand. Unless you have Meinl bongos, this is a great alternative to the only other seated stand by LP; which is quite a bit more expensive. At its lowest position, it's still a bit too high when I'm sitting on my couch. Modifying the length would be a chore because the lower post has the top clamp bonded to the post. I checked it out to see if I could cut off about 2 inches. I attached some pictures. Mine is slightly canted but it measures approximately 24" from the head of the bongo to the floor.

This is a sturdy stand that is mostly well made but it has a swivel (looseness) that shouldn't be there and I have been talking to the manufacturer who doesn't seem to know much about its product because DW bought Toca and DW is handling customer support.

Will bongo stand be compatible with matador alp bongos?
The mounting bracket is the same size, but the stand may not fit optimally depending on the diameter of the drums. As long as they aren't larger than average you should be alright.submitted6 years ago
