The Timber Drum Company Hard Rubber Mallets feature solid birch handles with a natural feel and nice balance. The 1" hard rubber head provides a bright resonant tone with a sharper attack than softer rubber. They can be used for Timber Drum slit tongue log drums, wood blocks, Xylophone, temple blocks, marimba or any instrument that needs a slightly muted contact sound. Suitable for indoor concerts and outdoor marching, these rubber mallets are sold in pairs and made in the U.S.A.

Two hard rubber head mallets
Included are two hard rubber head mallets that deliver a bright, resonant tone with a sharper attack than soft rubber––works perfectly on Timber Drum Co.'s Slit Tongue Log Drum, as well as xylophone, marimba, temple blocks and others (sold separately).

Timber Drum Co. hard rubber mallets are made by skilled experts in our Nashville, Tennessee woodshop. They stain each solid hardwood handle by hand to bring out the natural woodgrain before assembling the mallet head.

Full-size length
These mallets have 1" diameter hard rubber heads, and they measure 15-1/4" long overall (bottom of handle to top of mallet head). Their light weight and long length delivers outstanding balance, feel and reach.

Durable and rounded handles

From concert percussionist to school band member and even sound therapy, yoga or meditation practitioners, these mallets can be used by any level or type of player looking to get a bright sound with muted contact from their instrument.

We use these on our pearl glockenspiel. These are the second pair for the accent color for note action. My husband plays on his drum set with this as an addition percussion instrument. He really likes the action of them. We haven't had any issues. They're affordable they come in many different colors and they're always in stock. Maybe not your color but you can always buy them. They're very reasonable.
