I guess it works in a pinch, but there are better mallets

I made sure to get the correct type for band class for school, because I thought it would be nice to use my own mallets and not school mallets. When I use them, they are super comfortable to hold, but they aren't the best quality wise. The notes that come out when used are really soft and quiet, and do not sound great. sometimes, depending on the note, no sound will come out at all. The black bands at the top of the mallet slowly slip down over time, which isn't really a big deal, but it can be annoying. Overall, I would rather use the old mallets the school supplies us with.
I would buy again

I use these on my tongue drum and my cymbals for certain songs for cymbal swells
