I have used T-I Spectrum strings for 20+ years

I stumbled onto the Spectrum acoustic strings in the late '90s because my guitar tech had some on hand. I was so thoroughly impressed that I these have been my default acoustic strings ever since. The tone is great and lifespan is better than most uncoated strings. As a weekend musician, lifespan mattered to me. Spending $22-$30 for a set of uncoated strings can be daunting, but I gave up using Elixirs because the Spectrum was a better string. I have never broken a Spectrum (I used 12s at first; now I'm older and 11s seem just as good).
Poor quality

I bought these strings based on reviews and recommendation for recording and stage. High E and B strings broke while stringing my guitar. Customer service stated they could do nothing because "strings break". Poor quality strings, especially considering the price and very poor customer service from Musicians Friend. The rep seemed to care less that I am taking my business elsewhere in the future.
