Overview

Authentic mandolin "chop" is recognizable from the first strum, and can only be found in an instrument with a true, hand-carved spruce top. The Loar hand-carved the tops of the LM-110 to provide that real 1920's sound, but with enough vibration to still cut through in today's ensemble playing.

The original and authentic A-model body shape of the LM-110 is quite simply a longstanding favorite. The thin "V" profile of its maple neck fits comfortably in the player's hand and the removal of the fretboard extension beyond the 20th fret allows for easy strumming without getting hung up on the extended upper frets.

Case sold separately.

Comments about The Loar LM-110 Hand-Carved A-Style Mandolin:

My local Guitar Center had just sold their last 310f a few days prior to me walking in and I did not feel like waiting a week for the Mando to get delivered. I grabbed this beauty off the wall and took it home. Overall for the price I recommend this to anyone just starting mandolin. It is a quality instrument that was very close to being set up to be played out of the store.

Comments about The Loar LM-110 Hand-Carved A-Style Mandolin:

Great mandolin for the money. I bought it to leave at a relative's house so I don't have to fly with my better instruments. It was set up well and sounds okay—just like the reviews said! Easily got me through my trip to Texas. Not a performance instrument.
