Taylor Custom Torrefied Sitka Spruce-East Indian Rosewood Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar Wild Honey Burst

Description
The Taylor Custom Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar provides serious musicians with an instrument of unparalleled tone and aesthetics. Handcrafted from premium torrefied Sitka spruce and East Indian rosewood, this guitar delivers a dynamic range of lush, complex tones with crystalline highs, robust lows and rich overtones. The revolutionary V-Class bracing opens up the soundboard to produce notes that ring loud and true. When plugged in, the ES2 electronics capture the guitar's voice with stunning fidelity for inspiring performances.
Resonant Tonewoods for a Lifetime
As an investment in your musical journey, the guitar's torrefied Sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides provide decades of playing enjoyment. The torrefied spruce, sourced from the Pacific Northwest, yields a mature, balanced tone from day one. The rosewood, selected from sustainable sources in India, produces notes with depth, warmth and complex overtones. Together, these tonewoods create an open, resonant voice that only improves with age.
V-Class Bracing Unlocks Potential
Taylor's revolutionary V-Class bracing opens up the soundboard to produce notes that ring loud and true. This innovative design provides more volume, longer sustain and nearly eliminates the intonation issues that plague traditional X-bracing. Play up and down the neck to experience notes and chords that bloom into richness. Strum boldly without choking the guitar's voice. Flatpick or fingerpick dynamically with confidence in each note's clarity and projection.
Plug in and Inspire
When it's time to perform, the ES2 electronics capture your Taylor's voice with stunning fidelity. Three discreet saddle transducers feed a Taylors preamp to convey nuances that other systems miss. Adjust the preamp to shape your tone from transparent to bold. Send your signal direct to the PA or amp for inspiring performances that move audiences with the guitar's true, resonant voice.
An Heirloom to Cherish
With premium tonewoods, innovative bracing and quality electronics, the Taylor Grand Auditorium is an investment in inspiration that provides a lifetime of musical enjoyment. As you play, the woods will mature and the tone will sweeten, creating an instrument to pass down through generations. For the serious musician seeking an heirloom guitar, the Taylor Custom Grand Auditorium delivers a voice to cherish.

Sweet guitar: exceptional instrument

I've owned or played a great many Taylor guitars. Always checking other brands to compare sound and quality. Taylor makes great guitars IMHO. I recently sold a 814ce V class because I wanted something a little different in looks and a tonal profile. Can't go wrong with an 814ce: great guitar. This Taylor Custom Catch guitar is really exceptional. The torrefied Sitka Spruce top really distinguishes itself tonally vs a standard Sitka Spruce top. It's very interesting as it has a mellower tone that doesn't carry the same volume or bite as an 814: but at the same time it's more nuanced and has excellent sustain. The guitar doesn't sound as bright as an 814 to my ears The build quality is fantastic: Rosewood and Sitka Spruce are an iconic pairing of wood for an acoustic guitar. The neck is effortless to play. Gorgeous inlays and a fantastic look with the WHB finish. I appreciate that the guitar has low key elegance vs a 914 that is dressed out with all the abalone trim. The Gotoh 510 tuners are excellent and a welcome addition to this custom package. If this guitar were to be custom built by an individual it would far exceed the price it retails for. This guitar sounded even better than my friend's 814 that is 10 years old and has a lot of guitar playing hours logged. Taylor really knocked this one out of the park! My only nitpicky issue is that I wish Taylor did the Weatern Floral motif for the case like they do for the Grand Pacific models like the 717e Builders edition. Otherwise, this guitar is a 10/10. This guitar will be the cure to my guitar acquisition syndrome. Buy this guitar; it's exceptional and has earned its label as a custom guitar.
