Description
The Taylor Big Baby walnut acoustic-electric guitar is a sleek, full-sounding travel companion with a svelte 4" body depth and 15/16th dreadnought size. Slightly bigger than a Baby Taylor and just shy of a full-size guitar, the Big Baby is ideal for easy-playing, great-sounding fun. Like the Baby, the Big Baby has an arched back that provides strength and contributes to its full tonal output. The top is made of solid walnut, with layered walnut back and sides. Walnut has a clear, woody voice with a splash of top-end sparkle and a bit more tonal support in the lower register—the result are notes with pleasing weight, and player-reflective response. Amplify your sound with the ES-B system, with an onboard preamp, built-in digital tuner, LED display and tone-sculpting 3-band EQ. Additional appointments to the Big Baby include a hard rock maple neck, African ebony fingerboard and bridge, a Micarta saddle and chrome tuners. Comes with a deluxe Big Baby gig bag.

    I'm picking guitar back up after about a 15 year break, and I wanted to buy a nice, quality guitar for myself to replace my childhood guitar. I went in thinking I wanted a Martin, but I was blown away by the sound of Taylor. And then I assumed I'd get something in the 100 or 200 series, until I tried the BBT. It's so easy to play it makes me a better guitar player. And the sound is so good I really felt like I was getting so much more for my money vs a guitar in the 4 figure range. Can't recommend this guitar enough.

    Does the above big Baby come in Left handed? Also, would you consider Big Baby to be on the smaller side of acoustics? I'm looking for a smaller body so I can maneuver better.

    Unfortunately, no. It's about an inch smaller all all around.
