Taylor
Description

Taylor Guitars is excited to introduce the Academy 22e Walnut Top, an acoustic-electric Grand Concert guitar that provides exceptional tone and playability. Featuring a solid walnut top, mahogany back and sides and Taylor's ES-B pickup system, the 22e Walnut Top delivers a balanced acoustic sound with the option to amplify. Its scaled-down size and armrest make extended playing sessions effortless.

Onboard Electronics Shape Your Sound

The 22e Walnut Top comes equipped with Taylor's ES-B pickup system, which gives you control over your amplified tone. Adjust the volume, EQ and blend between the soundhole and bridge pickups to suit any musical situation. This built-in pickup system accurately captures the 22e Walnut Top's resonant acoustic voice and allows you to fine-tune it to perfection.

Chambered Mahogany Body Resonates and Reduces Weight

The 22e Walnut Top's chambered mahogany body enhances resonance while reducing weight. Strategically placed soundholes further improve vibration and projection. Weighing under 5 pounds, the 22e Walnut Top's lightweight, contoured body makes it ideal for long practice sessions and performances.

Slim Neck and Small Frets Promote Effortless Playing

With a slim mahogany neck, ebony fretboard and small frets, the 22e Walnut Top plays fast and smooth. Its shorter 24-7/8" scale length reduces string tension, making chords and complex fingerings easier to play. Whether you're a beginner or professional, the 22e Walnut Top's comfortable neck will inspire your creativity.

Premium Appointments and Gig Bag Included

The 22e Walnut Top features premium appointments like real wood binding, a walnut rosette and chrome tuners. A recycled nylon gig bag is also included, giving you a stylish and sustainable way to transport your guitar.

I was looking for a small guitar that wasn't solid wood to leave in the family room so I could pick it up easily and play quickly. I didn't want to have to worry so much about hydration, but it had to sound good. This little guitar fit the bill perfectly. The armrest and walnut wood are huge pluses too.

I just bought a Taylor 22e and I love it. It's super playable and the arm bevel and small body size makes it super comfortable to hold. The short scale makes the action easy. The solid walnut top sounds warm like mahogany with a typical Taylor bright top end. Beautiful guitar, highly recommend!
