This is a real beauty and it sounds just as good. I have been playing guitar for over 50 years and this has the detail and workmanship that make it an heirloom piece. Love it!

Top of the line Taylor but only for serious players and collectors. Guitar does have a nice body sound but does fall short on amplified volume compared to a 214. Overall, would highly suggest this for serious players.

This guitar really has an equal balance across the frequency spectrum, sort of like a piano or a harp. I really appreciate that in figerstyle. The beveled armrest is really helpful too. The only problem I had was that the D string came with a small kink near the headstock which made the intonation flat on the 12th string, but when I swapped out the strings, it was perfect

Upgrading from a 214ce, there are a lot more overtones for each note so it almost feels like single notes sound like chords. It's quite helpful in fingerstyle playing when lead notes have a bit more depth to it even without the bass. Playability is also great especially with the beveled cutaway. I did have to change the strings out of the box, not because they were dull or dirty but the intonation on the D string at 12th fret was audibly flat. When I undid the strings to examine the saddle, I found out that the D string had a kink in it near the headstock. Maybe someone accidentally pushed on the strings on the headstock a bit too hard. Intonation was spot on after string changing.
