Taylor Guitars | World-Class Taylor Craftsmanship In Every Guitar

The Taylor 214ce Plus acoustic-electric guitar delivers everything you need in a great guitar. With its solid torrefied Sitka spruce top and layered rosewood back and sides, it produces a clear, robust tone across the tonal spectrum. The Grand Auditorium body style makes it versatile for fingerpicking, strumming and flatpicking. Genuine West African ebony components give you premium feel and resonance. And Taylor's ES2 pickup system accurately conveys your playing whether amplified on stage or direct into a PA. For guitarists wanting pro-grade features without the premium price, the 214ce Plus is an excellent choice.
Shape Your Sound With a Torrefied Spruce Top
The 214ce Plus has a solid torrefied Sitka spruce top, a specialized treatment that improves the wood's resonance and projection. The result is a dynamic range between each note, with longer sustain and enhanced volume and punch. You'll appreciate the top's balanced tone and pitch accuracy. Whether using a light touch or digging in, the 214ce Plus top distributes vibrating string energy optimally for a lively, well-defined sound.
Feel the Difference With Genuine Ebony
Genuine West African ebony components—including the fingerboard, bridge and headstock overlay—give the 214ce Plus a playing experience unmatched by other tonewoods. Ebony's density and stiffness translate to crisp note articulation with clear intonation all along the 20-fret neck. The smooth finish lets your fingers glide effortlessly, while ebony's beauty and elegance complement the guitar's esthetic. Plugged in or acoustic, you'll appreciate the ebony's natural resonance.
Amplify Your Sound With the ES2 Pickup
Taylor's innovative ES2 pickup system accurately reproduces your playing dynamics and nuances. Its three calibrated behind-the-saddle sensors capture a wide tonal range. The professional-grade preamp has volume, bass and treble controls so you can shape your amplified tone. Whether on stage through a PA or direct into a mixer, the ES2 pickup conveys the 214ce Plus's lively acoustic voice and playing dynamics—it's just like having a mic on the guitar.
Jam and Perform With a Versatile Grand Auditorium
With its comfortable body depth, waist contour and cutaway for upper fret access, the Grand Auditorium 214ce Plus excels for both stage and studio. You'll appreciate how it balances clarity and low end, reacting evenly to fingerpicking, strumming and flatpicking. The GA profile facilitates dynamic playing, yielding ample volume with a clear voice. For guitarists needing an inspiring all-purpose acoustic-electric, the 214ce Plus is a superb choice.

Without repeating what's spelled out in the features and specs of this guitar, I will say what's important to me. First, I've owned many different guitar brands over the years, but Taylor remains my favorite. This one is no exception. It's easy to play, it stays in tune, it has that bright, Taylor sound, and is clearly a quality instrument. I can't ask for anything more than that. After some recent purchases of other brands which left me disappointed, I turned back to Taylor, and am very glad that I did. This is a great guitar, for this price point, and I am very pleased with it.
This is an amazing sounding acoustic guitar!

I do not play professionally, only for my own enjoyment. I really like the tone controls on this acoustic-electric guitar. It sounds fantastic on a small 60W amp.
