Description
The Taylor Guitars 214ce Plus Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar features the brand's signature body shape, solid Sitka spruce top and layered Indian rosewood back and sides. The 214ce Plus blends clear, balanced tone with a comfortable feel that appeals to players of all levels. At the heart of this model is Taylor's groundbreaking Expression System 2, which employs a piezo pickup to capture the guitar's lively acoustic properties and translates into a dynamic plugged-in sound. The 214ce Plus also sports premium appointments like black plastic binding, a full-body gloss finish and Venetian cutaway for upper-fret access.
Revolutionary Taylor ES2 Electronics Provide Natural Amplified Tone
While acoustic-electric guitars have traditionally used under-saddle pickups, the 214ce Plus features Taylor's proprietary Expression System 2. Its piezo pickup is positioned behind the saddle to respond organically to the instrument's acoustic vibrations. Working with Taylor's custom-designed preamp, which provides a 25% hotter signal, the result is an amplified tone with incredible range, nuance and responsiveness.
Premium Appointments and Details Ensure Long-Lasting Quality
From the NuBone nut and Micarta saddle to the forward-shifted bracing pattern, the 214ce Plus is built with components that enhance tone and durability. The smooth Venetian cutaway provides access to higher frets, while multi-ply binding accents the body's curves. A matching AeroCase gig bag protects the guitar during transport and storage.

I would not buy this again
I have many guitars & I play professionally in concert for decades. I rock out when I play & I picked up this Taylor in the hopes that I could use it in concert along with my others, but IT CONSISTENTLY BREAKS STRINGS AT THE SADDLE. When I called Taylor, they were no help at all. 🙃

Sweet guitar!

I'm a Martin guy and I've had a couple Taylors before, but for whatever reason they didn't do it for me- However this model is really sweet sound and plays like a dream. Put ebony pegs in the saddle. Put Elixir nano 12's on it. Had to raise the action a pinch. Perfect!
Amazing guitar with great sound

This is my first nice guitar. I was going to lean towards a Martin but I tried a Taylor and WOW! I tried a number of the 100 and 200 series but this 200 series has a sound that is fantastic and is just a great guitar. Now finding the time to play is my issue but I love this guitar every time I pick it up and play.
The best tone I could find for the money.

I thought I was safely over the "guitar acquisition" syndrome, but I went into Guitar Center and strummed a Taylor guitar. Being smitten, I decided to go for a "home run" and buy a Martin. The Martin disappointed me so I returned it an bought a Taylor. No regrets!
