Taylor Guitars | World-Class Taylor Craftsmanship In Every Guitar

Description
Boasting the ES2 electronics system and a solid Sitka spruce top with layered walnut back and sides, the 110e dreadnought acoustic-electric delivers Taylor's signature sound and playability at an affordable price. Musicians of all skill levels will appreciate the 110e's familiar dreadnought shape, comfortable neck and plugged-in performance.
ES2 Electronics Provide Dynamic Amplified Tone
The 110e features Taylor's ES2 electronics, which use three piezo sensors to capture the guitar's acoustic properties and translate them into a dynamic amplified signal. Intuitive bass, treble and volume controls allow you to shape your tone, while a built-in tuner ensures you always sound your best. Whether on stage or recording in the studio, the ES2 system produces a natural, well-balanced tone.
Solid Sitka Spruce Top Provides Warmth and Projection
As the primary tonewood, the 110e's solid Sitka spruce top significantly impacts its voice and performance. Sitka spruce is lightweight, responsive and resonant, producing a broad range of overtones that result in a warm, balanced tone with clear articulation. Combined with the 110e's arched mahogany back, the spruce top generates impressive volume and projection.
Comfortable Playability From a Familiar Shape and Neck
The 110e's dreadnought body shape is ideal for flatpicking and strumming, with a robust low end, focused midrange and crisp highs. Its maple neck features a slim profile and 1.6875" nut width, which provides comfortable playability for musicians with smaller hands or those transitioning from electric guitar. Dot inlays and a durable satin finish offer an attractive, low-maintenance instrument built to withstand years of use.
Premium Materials and Lifetime Support
Like all Taylor guitars, the 110e is constructed from premium, ethically sourced tonewoods and crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Each component, from the tuners to the bridge pins, is purposefully selected to maximize the instrument's potential. Taylor also offers a lifetime of service and support for your guitar, ensuring you have all the resources you need to keep playing and improving for years to come.

I got a guitar with action over twice as high as typical

I ordered this guitar online. It was a demo. Even with the great Taylor name and quality control, I got a guitar that is defective. Google says: "A typical 12th fret action on a Taylor guitar is considered to be around 4/64 inches (approximately 1.59mm) on the high E string and 6/64 inches (around 2.38mm) on the low E string, according to Taylor's factory specifications; this measurement should be taken when the neck is straight." After straightening the Truss rod on my guitar, the action on the 12th fret is 3.4 mm. That is more than twice what it should be. The guitar is defective and I cannot play it. Therefore, I am returning it. Maybe it is best to visit a store before buying a guitar like this. If I had tried it out there is no way I would have bought it. I have played Taylor guitars and all of them were excellent, with action around the typical 1.59 mm on the 12th string. But searches online show that this kind of thing happens with Taylors.

I went to the guitar center store to pick up this guitar, checked out many of them and sure, some were cheaper, although I picked up this guitar and played it for a few minutes and thought it was extremely great, you will not find a better guitar in this price range, I am happy with my 110e, many people would mkst likely see this guitar and assume it is a bad guitar because of the Taylor price range, I will never get rid of this guitar, my old guitar was a very old takimine, and yes it was a great guitar, although I wanted an upgrade and this is one of the best guitars I've picked up.

All around an excellent guitar. I think the biggest wins for me was the guitar`s durability. It`s a layered side and back with Sapele and make`s it a bit less temperamental to humidity and temps changes. The removable neck is a plus as well. Neck resets can be done rather quickly. The tone from the guitar is fantastic, kind shocking. I was on the fence about this purchase. I bought this guitar blind. Guitar Center didn`t have it in stock at the time I made the purchase but I ordered it anyway. I`m very happy I did. This will not be going back, it`s staying with me. Just all around a fantastic guitar tone wise and playability wise. You really can`t go wrong here.

I bought it in 2017 and use it as my main guitar ever since. I've recorded with it, played it live, and played in small jam sessions.
