Takamine Pro Series 6 Jumbo Cutaway 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar Sunburst

Built with the performer in mind, the P6JC-12 features Takamine' proprietary CT4-DX preamp system and unique Palathetic under-saddle pickup for superior amplified response. The dual-channel CT4-DX provides a four-band EQ, two feedback-reducing notch-filter controls, a flexible dual-pickup mix control (for use when a second pickup is added), volume control and an onboard tuner.
Other performance-enhancing features include Takamine' asymmetrical neck profile “ which is slightly thinner on the treble side so that it fits the natural shape of your hand, resulting in a comfortable feel and improved playability. The split bone saddle provides more accurate intonation, while bridge pin positioning optimizes break angle to improve sustain and presence.
Premium design appointments include an ebony fingerboard with ivory binding and mother-of-pearl œdot-in-dot inlays, a black headcap, gold tuners with pearl buttons, a natural bone nut and gloss natural finish.
The CT4-DX
The two-channel CT4-DX offers the ultimate in preamp flexibility. Used with the Palathetic under- saddle pickup, it offers four-band EQ (low, low mid, high mid, high) and two notch filter controls to reduce feedback.
Add a second pickup (the Takamine Tri-Ax, for example), and the CT4-DX gives you independent control over both pickups, each of which will then have two-band EQ and a notch filter control. You can also alter the mix levels of each of the pickups. Other features include volume control and onboard tuner.

This was my first Jumbo body guitar and my second 12 string, my first new guitar of any kind in over 30 years. It is significantly bigger than the dreads I've owned before. My first 12 string was/is basically a P3DC-12 series Tak - satin finish, no pick guard. I was always impressed with the fullness of the sound and it's bright tone. The P6JC-12 is a much more balanced guitar. The lows are bigger for sure, that's what a jumbo will give you. The highs are more subtle, they blend better than the P3 which kind of smacks you upside the head. I didn't know how much better I liked the more balanced tone until I compared them side by side. Overall, the playability is great as with any Japanese Tak. The neck is massive so make sure your hands are up to the task before trying to tame this thing. It is definitely a big boy's guitar. Being a large handed player to begin with, I took to this beauty right away and I can't wait to get to know her better. If you plan to play this acoustically for the most part you won't be disappointed, but you are missing out on the real treasure this guitar will give you. Plugged in, the sound is amazing. Big, full, all encompassing sound - like a big warm ear hug. I was blown away by the sound quality of this guitar plugged in. Takamine has always excelled at their electronics and there is some serious magic voodoo going on with the whole Cool Tube thing. I have only just begun to tinker with the range of possibilities, but it is just ridiculous how good this guitar sounds. I love the on-board tuner as well. Currently (late 2023 and into 2024), the waiting list for this guitar and most other Tak's is rather lengthy. It is my understanding that Takamine is having a bit of a skilled labor shortage to meet their demand - at least in Japan. The Japanese Taks are in high demand and now I know why. Be patient, you won't be disappointed.
I would buy this product again and again!

I'm sorry, I don't know
