Takamine's GN77KCE is constructed from beautiful Hawaiian koa and sounds as great as it looks. This guitar is equally at home with players who prefer fingerstyle or bold strumming. The GN77KE's luxurious clear gloss finish compliments its mini-jumbo NEX cutaway body. Like all Takamine guitars, the transition to the stage is made effortless with the addition of Takamine’s own TP-4TD electronics, complete with a 3-band equalizer and chromatic tuner built-in.

The guitar looks good. I have to have it fix because the neck needed a setup since the tech person didn't do the work well.

  • Great stage guitar at a good price

Compared it to Martins and Taylors and this was the clear winner. The 3 band equalizer lets you dail in whatever tone you want. The contols are easy to access unlike the other two. Plus, they only offer tone control. When I'm using house sound in different venues having only tone just doesn't cut it. It also is very easy to play. There just isn't a better choice for the working musician.

the strings seem too high and the playability is definitely no fun.

What exactly does "mini jumbo" mean? Is this more of a thin body?

The body is a bit thinner, and it's not quite as wide as a standard Jumbo.
