Takamine

Description

The Takamine EF381SC 12-String Acoustic-Electric dreadnought is handcrafted with precision by Takamine's skilled luthiers. This guitar's solid cedar top provides a balanced tone that sings both mellow passages and power chords with equal clarity. Maple back and sides reflect the nuanced tones of the soundboard, while a gloss black finish gives a sleek look under stage lights. A mahogany neck joins the body with a dovetail joint for ultra-strong stability. The EF381SC 12-String includes Takamine's renowned CT4B II preamp system and the unique Palathetic under-saddle pickup for peerless amplified response. The CT4B II preamp offers intuitive 3-band EQ, volume control and a built-in tuner to help you achieve your perfect sound.

Solid Cedar Soundboard Resonates with Warmth and Nuance

The EF381SC 12-String's solid cedar top provides a balanced tone with warmth, clarity and nuance. Cedar responds quickly to a light touch but also projects well for more vigorous playing. This dynamic range allows the guitarist to express a wide range of musical ideas and emotions.

Maple Back and Sides Reflect Soundboard's Tonal Complexity

The EF381SC 12-String's maple back and sides work in tandem with the solid cedar top to reflect the guitar's full tonal range. Maple provides a clear and focused tone that complements cedar's warmth and resonance. Together, these premium tonewoods achieve an ideal balance of warmth and clarity.

CT4B II Preamp and Palathetic Pickup Provide Peerless Amplified Sound

Takamine's acclaimed CT4B II preamp system gives intuitive tonal control for peerless amplified sound. A 3-band EQ, volume control and built-in tuner help achieve your perfect tone for any musical situation. The Palathetic under-saddle pickup captures the guitar's full acoustic character with none of the quirks often found in piezo pickups. From mellow passages to soaring leads, the EF381SC 12-String sounds natural when plugged in.

I bought it online which is a first time I ever bought a guitar online. I have always checked my guitars out in person, but Covid19 made it impossible. I don't gamble except the odd lottery tickets but I couldn't help it this time. When it arrived I was impressed with all the great features, and the sound quality. My other guitars took a back seat for a few weeks. Takamine is a great guitar.

  • Beautiful and functional. Sounds great plugged in and acous
