I have owned this guitar for five years and it keeps getting better with age. The sound is superb. Playability is the best I've ever seen in all my years of playing professionally. Excellent for the road or studio. I cannot say enough good things about Takamine customer service and warranty.

In 1986 I bought the predecessor. After gazillions of hours of playing, storage in the car trunk, hundreds of hours on a sunny beach, this guitar sounds great and plays effortlessly. The sun and beach humidity has "rippled" the pick guard, worn the clear coat nearly to natural wood, and rusted the tuning ware. But still, the guitar still has great intonation, the frets are ok, and the old preamp, pick up and tone controls make the amplified guitar, sound like the size of California Redwood.

I love this guitar. It was a gift from my wife. I was looking for much less expensive guitar, and I played so many, that they were starting to sound alike! I picked this one up, and absolutely fell in love with the crispness of each string. Lovely deep base, and clean bright highs. When strummed hard, it hangs tough, and sounds just amazing. I played Taylors, and Martins, and the only guitar I thought sounded comparable was a Gibson J-45 I found at a pawn shop. I have no need to spend that kind of money, but this one will last me a liftime, and I think you will love it also!

I purchased this guitar almost 10 Years ago and have been happy with ever since. I was actually looking at Ovations at half the price. The Guitar Center rep turned me on to this one. As soon as I played it--after playing the Ovation--I knew I had to own this one. The tone is warm and sound is rich--acoustically and straight through the PA. All my guitar buddies that have played my guitar comment on how great it sounds and plays. The solid back (non laminate) really makes a difference in tone quality. Great guitar at any price.

The Takamine EAN10C is perhaps Takamine's best value in an acoustic electric. At quite a low price, it boasts solid cedar wood and bright, natural sound. I have found the onboard tuner to be quite useful in loud environments, and it is accurate. After owning this guitar for a year, I've found that its sound continues to improve and it will last me many more years to come.
