TC Helicon

collapse expand iconDescription

The TC Helicon VoiceTone Single R1 packs the power of professional studio reverb into a compact, easy-to-use vocal pedal. Optimized for vocalists, the Single R1 features eight pre-programmed reverb styles to add dimension and space to your voice. Just plug in your mic and you'll be surrounded by lush, tailor-made ambience, whether you're performing on stage or tracking in the studio.

Recreate Iconic Studio Spaces

The Single R1 comes loaded with eight reverb presets designed specifically for vocals. From short rooms to cavernous halls, each algorithm is meticulously crafted to complement your voice with a balanced blend of initial reflections, decay time and tail. You'll find lush reverbs reminiscent of famous studios like the live chamber at Capitol Records and the crystalline plates at Abbey Road.

Simple Controls Keep the Focus on Your Performance

Despite its advanced processing, the Single R1 is blissfully easy to use. Just plug your mic into the XLR input, connect to your PA or mixer and you're ready to go. The single knob adjusts the wet/dry balance, giving you fine control over the reverb depth. No complex menus or parameters to scroll through. The Single R1's streamlined interface keeps the focus on your singing, not your pedalboard.

Refine Your Sound With USB Connectivity

While the Single R1's presets sound fantastic right out of the box, you can fine-tune them even further by connecting to your computer via USB. The free R1 editor software gives you control over parameters like decay time, early reflections and EQ shaping. Tweak to your heart's content until the reverb is just right. With the R1's smart design and studio-grade processing, your voice will shine through any mix.

Simple, but very effective. I was looking for a vocal processor for weddings or gigs and didn't want to spend that much. So, I decided to give this one a try. For my surprise, it sounded really good. It may not be the best processor out there, but I don't care. As long as it does the job well, I'm happy with it. Now, as a Dj, in most weddings, anniversary, or any special occasions, some people love to dedicate that special song to the couple, and I was looking for that perfect voice tone or pitch to go along with the karaoke melody and it worked perfectly. Can't complain, especially for the price.

Although designed for vocals, and I occasionally use it for that, I bought it primarily to add reverb for harmonica breaks. It is simple to use with only two main knobs on top to adjust to get a wide variety of sound (there are other features on the sides that I don't use), it is ruggedly designed, and attaches easily in the vocal line because it has XLR connections both in and out. It outperforms two or three others I had tried previously, and for me, this is exactly what I was looking for. I've only used it for about a month, but it certainly appears to be built to last. I definitely recommend it!
