TC Helicon VoiceTone Single C1 HardTune & Correction Effects Pedal

Description
The TC Helicon VoiceTone Single C1 brings the studio to the stage with its pro-level pitch correction algorithms in a rugged, stage-ready pedal. Originally derived from the award-winning VoiceLive processor, the C1's pitch correction can be dialed from transparent to the full-robotic "Hardtune" effect that's become a signature in modern music. With its simple, single-knob interface, the C1 makes it easy for vocalists to nail their pitch every time.
Dial in Transparent or Hardtune Pitch Correction
The VoiceTone Single C1 puts complete control over your pitch correction right at your feet. Simply dial in the amount of correction you need, from subtle nudge to full robotic shift. For natural, transparent correction, keep the knob toward the left. Turn it toward the right for more dramatic Hardtune effects. The C1 analyzes your voice in real-time, smoothing out any pitch issues while preserving the character of your voice.
Add Expression With the Guitar Input
The VoiceTune Single C1's guitar input lets you tap into some truly unique vocal effects. Try using your guitar, bass or keyboard to control the pitch of your voice for harmonies, synced riffs and more. The C1 analyzes both the instrument and vocal inputs to create interesting pitch-based interactions between the two. It's an easy way to explore fresh new vocal ideas and add excitement to your performances.
Simple and Portable for Gigs
With its stompbox design, the VoiceTone Single C1 seamlessly integrates into your existing pedalboard setup. It's powered by a 9V adapter or battery so you can take it anywhere. The C1 also features an XLR input and output for quick mic connections. Getting world-class vocal pitch correction is as easy as plugging in your mic and dialing in your perfect tone.
Big Sound From Award-Winning Algorithms
Despite its compact size, the VoiceTone Single C1 delivers a massive, high-quality sound thanks to its algorithms originally derived from TC Helicon's VoiceLive processor. VoiceLive has won numerous awards for its pristine audio quality and now those same sounds are available in a simple, stage-friendly stompbox. Dial in the perfect pitch correction for your voice with the TC Helicon C1.

I bought primarily as a vocal instrument - in that I crank the pitch correction all the way to the hard setting and run the gender up in the very high female/alien range and hum/sing syllables into it and it sounds like a synth instrument.
This is a excellent piece to just have!! Love it!!!

Interesting but...

Instead of just altering the pitch it seems to split it into pitch corrected and original and then output them as a "doubled" voice. I really found this doubling quite artificial and frankly annoying. Choosing less correction just made the doubling fade in and out which was even worse in my opinion. I finally just returned the unit.
Disappointed

I tend to be slightly pitchy vocally, so when this pedal was recently released, I was one of the first to purchase one. My primary interest is the pitch correction and not the other effects. Unfortunately for me, the pitch correction aspect of this pedal has been a disappointment. It will correct only very, very minor pitch issues. When I sing into it intentionally off key, it is is simply unable to correct the problem. Setting the pedal to chromatic or to the specific key, does not seem to make a difference, nor does plugging an instrument into the pedal for key assignment. The built in pre-amp is quite useful as is the phantom power. The pre-amp is clean and crisp and offers substantial gain when used with my Blue condenser mic. As far as the effects go, they can be used to "warm" the voice or make a voice sound more masculine or feminine. When fully cranked, they produce an alien voice which is of no interest to me. Cranking the pitch correction knob to full creates a fun sound best described as delay with pitch shift: an interesting effect of limited usefulness. In summary, the C1 does help slightly with pitch issues, has a useful pre-amp, phantom power, and effects of limited usefulness. Worth the price? ... probably not to me, but a better singer than I may well disagree.

Can this just go into my computer and make songs like that.
Connects between your mic and mixer. Mixer would need USB output to the computer.
