Description
The TC Electronic Sub 'N' Up Mini gives you the supreme polyphonic octave tones of its acclaimed big brother in a conveniently tiny footprint. With the groundbreaking Sub 'N' Up engine onboard, it flawlessly tracks your playing and applies thick, rich octave effects down or up by two full octaves. The Sub 'N' Up Mini octave pedal features TonePrint technology, letting you beam customized octave tones from the TonePrint app straight to the pedal. It's an ultra-compact polyphonic octaver with old-school analog charm and modern digital power.
Polyphonic Octave Effects With Spot-On Tracking
Thanks to the mighty Sub 'N' Up engine within, the Sub 'N' Up Mini polyphonic octaver beautifully tracks each note you play. Apply thick, rich octave-down effects that follow even complex chords and riffs flawlessly. Or use the octave-up setting to lend soaring textures to your tone. With independent controls for both dry signal and octave level, you get total command over your octave blend. The Sub 'N' Up Mini even has an old-school monophonic mode for that analog octave charm when playing single notes.
Vintage Mono Mode Captures Classic Octave-Down Growl
In addition to the polyphonic octave tones, the Sub 'N' Up Mini provides a vintage monophonic mode that only shifts a single note down an octave at a time. This recreates the signature octave effect heard on classic funk, rock and metal records. Monophonic mode excels for bass lines, riffing and single-note runs. The warm, growling octave-down sound adds vintage vibe to any tone.
TonePrint App Unlocks Customized Octave FX
With the ingenious TonePrint app, you can beam customized octave effects straight to the Sub 'N' Up Mini via the free iOS/Android app. TonePrint gives you a huge palette of exclusive octave tones crafted by top guitarists. Build your very own signature octave sound from the ground up. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination. TonePrint makes the Sub 'N' Up Mini an ultra-compact octave factory.
True Bypass Switching Maintains Your Core Tone
The Sub 'N' Up Mini features a true bypass on/off footswitch that keeps your signal path 100% transparent when disengaged. That means zero tone loss or coloration from the octave effect. You get pristine preservation of your core guitar tone. For guitarists who want octave without compromise, true bypass is crucial.

Sweet Little Pedal

This is a sweet little pedal. High and low octave. Adds a smooth little bass depth to the acoustic performance. Fairly quiet unit if you are using a good cable. And with such a small footprint it fits easily onto pedal rack. I like it.

This is the best octave pedal I have ever owned and It can sound so great. I play my guitar, bass, and keyboard through it into a bass amp and it sounds amazing! This is the #1 pedal on my board. Tc Electronic did an amazing job on this pedal!

I have been researching octave pedals online for a while. I narrowed it down to this and a Nano POG. So I ordered them both to compare. I realize that it's not a completely fair comparison given the difference in price, but I was really surprised at how the Nano POG blew this Sub 'N' Up Mini out of the water. I should mention that I was wanting this pedal to use with a bass guitar. With the bass I found it to not track as well as the Nano POG. It gave a certain elasticity to the sound that I didn't like, and it changed the tone of the bass. The lack of clarity was very noticeable. The pedal itself is a great size, and seemingly well-constructed. However the knobs are very light and feel cheap when you turn them, offering no resistance. On this particular unit that was shipped to me the knobs were not quite level, so as you would turn them the plastic would rub against the housing of the pedal at certain points. In summary, I really wanted to like this pedal but was disappointed. I have other TC Electronic pedals (Ditto Looper x2, Booster Mini, Polytune 2 Mini Noir) and I very happy with them.

Works as advertised. Lots of combinations possible. Play bass on your guitar. Play guitar on your bass. Funky sounds with wet (sub n up) and dry controls.
