TASCAM

Description

The CD-RW900MKII is a professional CD recorder/player that replaces the best-selling CD-RW900SL. A TEAC tray-loading transport ensures years of reliable operation in the most demanding installations. This transport also allows gapless recording when writing track markers, something not possible using off-the-shelf PC drives. Various recording features like automatic track creation help the operator create polished recordings without constant supervision. An AKM AK4528VM is used for AD/DA conversion for clean, clear sound quality with a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz +/-0.8dB. Whether used for PA/Sound Reinforcement playback, studio, mastering or broadcast, the CD-RW900MKII is TASCAM's latest generation of reliable CD recording and playback.

I mainly use this Product to record the Rehearsals of the Band I'm with,...(The New "Loafers & Sneakers" Band),...and I also use this to Archive My Cassettes, I've recorded on, from past Jams, Studio sessions, Gigs, and D.A.W. projects. The output from this Unit is Excellent, ranged from -15.4db,...to...+18db,...without distortion and artifacts. Many premium features of the TASCAM CD-RW900 mkII make this unit a very valuable tool for recording any session, from Live Stage to Studio recordings. The convenience operating the Remote, (included with this unit),...makes it easy to finish Mastering, Backing-Up, Archiving, and Quick-Referencing, any Audio, recorded on Computers and/or Mixing WorkStations, and most other Digital / Analog Recording Media. Interfacing a Computer-Keyboard for Text input, into a Serial port located on the Right-side of the Front panel, is Definitely, a time-saver. Overall, This TASCAM CD-RW900mkII is well worth the Purchase price!

I'm recording the Band Rehearsals from My ZOOM L-12 Mixer and Archiving My Cassettes, and Recording Jam-Sessions, which occur in My Backyard: Jams @ THe BYB., (BackYard Boogies)!!!,...I enjoy the ease and convenience of using this Unit, instead of My Computers / LapTops,... and from its portability, I'm finding the Tascam CD-RW mkII, a vital tool to take on Gigs, Studio-Sessions, Live-Jam Sessions, Classrooms, and essential for any Home-Studio to Finalize & Master any D.A.W. projects, I'm working with. The Rack-Mounting is another convenient Plus, which allows for the simplified way to Secure the Unit while in use. This Recorder / Player comes with a Remote, that is quite convenient and easy to use, and the sound of the recordings is Primo!!!,...when used properly!

I use this to mix down to after recording my own songs. The instructions says I should not use printable CD's. This is the only problem I have with the machine.

I have an older CD recorder that needed a special type of blank CD media; "CDR for Home recorder/Consumer use". Very hard to find the blank CD media for now. Does the Tascam CD-RW900MKII require a specific type of blank CD, or do they use blank CDR's/CDRW's that are easy to find/off the shelf?

    Open Reply - Thomas
    Supported media: CD-R, CD-R-DA, CD-RW, CD-RW-DA; CD drive supports playback of CD-DA and Data-CD.
