Hi! Can this boom stand support a 18 inch digital ride (Roland CY-18DR)?
Yes, the TAMA Stage Master Double Braced Boom Cymbal Stand can absolutely support a Roland CY-18DR digital ride. However, a couple of things to keep in mind: Make sure the boom arm is not extended too far at an extreme angle — that could create leverage that strains even a strong stand. Keep it reasonably vertical or use it in straight mode if possible. Use the Roland-provided or recommended felt and wing nut setup so the CY-18DR's electronic sensor isn't stressed.
