TAMA

collapse expand iconDescription

With all of the features of it's brood mate, the 300 Series Speed Cobra is an ultra lightweight, dual-chain double pedal with a longer footboard that makes it rapidly accelerate the power and speed of the beater stroke, with less physical effort. Additionally, the smoother playing surface reduces friction between your foot and the footboard. Also, recessed setting position makes it possible to achieve a perfect balance between the natural playing feel of the chain drive's motion and lighter action.

The pedal also has the round shaped LiteSprocket for natural feel and smooth action. Compared with Iron Cobra's sprocket, this version decreases its weight by 40%. The beater angle is adjustable and dual sided beaters enhance your control over your stroke and sound.

Awesome pedals for an equally awesome price

I recently bought these pedals and they are great. For the price its very hard to beat. They are very light, all the mechanism, the linkage, very light but sturdy. If you want a double bass pedal but don't want to spend a lot of money these are for you. The foot boards are very long, I wear a size 12 shoe and there is still another 3 or 4 inches of foot board, heal-toe technique is so much easier to do on these thanks to the length of these pedals. In a nutshell, they are fast, light, very well built, easy to use and comfortable and the price is more than fair. You will be surprised how great they are for the price. I've bought more expensive pedals that don't feel as good as these. Thanks Tama for the speed cobra

Decent Pedal - Maybe Too Light for Some Drummers

The footboards are very light, maybe too light. When you need some power in your playing, a weighted footboard makes it easier to play. I find myself working harder with this pedal at times. It's good for quick rolls but for steady power playing, I find a heavier pedal much more comfortable to play. This pedal is comfortable to play in socks because the footboard is flat and light. When wearing sneakers or shoes, it feels like there is nothing under your foot and I don't like it so much. Maybe some drummers like a super light pedal, I've been playing for many years and wanted something new. For me, it's OK. I enjoy my Ludwig Pro Atlas pedal much more.

#sweepstakes. I had an old pair of Tama Iron Cobra pedals for the last 20+ years that held up fantastically. I decided to give the Speedcobra a try due to the longer footboard. These pedals are SO smooth and such a delight to play with. I find the long footboard to be so comfortable.

Just getting back into double bass, and this pedal is solid and quick. I upgraded the beaters to the 900 series model and I'm totally happy!

if you're looking for TAMA gear this is a good choice for pedals, not sure what the difference is between these and the Speed Cobra 910 but these sound great. i would recommend you to change the beaters with other beaters, i personally use the TAMA Power-Strike beaters.

I bought this pedal after looking at many other pedals for a couple years, it was the best priced and most functional pedal I found. Being the first double pedal I've bought, I was very impressed at how natural this pedal feels. I play a lot of heavy music (Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Whitchapel ), rock (Foo Fighters, Audioslave ), it works perfectly with these genres. It is a great double pedal overall.

I'm going to put this in my checked baggage to travel with me overseas. What are the dimensions of the box it comes with and the total weight?

They would be a lot better quality and a lot easier to play in most cases, the big difference with a more expensive pedal is that it will do better at taking the abuse of learning.

Does this model have independent beater and footboard adjustment, or are they linked? What are the major differences between the 310 and 910 double bass pedals?
