My genre is classic rock, alternative rock, modern pop. This snare cuts through with a low end crack, tuned low, tuned high she's crisp but not that high pitched snap, and rim shots are sure pretty

Really excellent drum especially for the price. Has a nice sweet back beat and articulate ghost notes at any tuning, backed by a ton of warmth which I love. Hardware is very well made and it tunes up very easily. Tama's S.L.P. line is a favorite.

More than what I expected! This snare definitely lives by it's name, because it produces a FAT sound. And I've tuned it high and low. No matter the range, it still has that big sound I was looking for. I couldn't tell you the number of drum friends that ask what snare this is and how awesome it sounds. Bottom line, if you're looking for a fat sounding snare, this is the absolute one for you!
