Tama's Iron Cobra 205 Series Hi-Hat Stand, gives drummers a durable yet lightweight solution for keeping the beat. With its double-braced legs, five-way tension adjustment and swivel foot, the Iron Cobra 205 provides stability and versatility for drummers of all styles.
Sturdy Construction Withstands Intense Playing
The Iron Cobra 205's double-braced legs offer heroic stability during energetic playing, while keeping the stand lightweight for portability. Its all-metal construction is built to handle years of regular use and travel. The rubber insulator at the end of the pull rod prevents loosening and dampens noise from metal parts clanging together.
Precise Tension Adjustment Delivers Your Perfect Feel
A five-way tension adjustment mechanism makes it simple to get the exact hi-hat feel and response you want. Settings are clearly marked, so you can swiftly go from loose and sloshy to tight and cutting. Whatever style you play, the Iron Cobra 205 provides the sensitivity and control to match.

You can place it close to minimize reaching or farther away to open up your setup. The swivel foot's rubber bottom grips the floor to prevent slipping during intense footwork.

Perfect for my needs
Let me start by saying that I've been using a Premier HH stand for a decade and that's the extent of my experience with hi hat stands. With that being said, the IC 205 exceeded all of my expectations. It functions silently and with ease. It's sturdy, even with my floating popcorn snare attached to it. For me, the movable legs was a huge upgrade aaaand it stops my left bass pedal from sliding forward. "Hats" off to Tama for making this product under a hundo.

Bought it as an emergency spare for one of my kits.
Have not really use it enough to give it the full review, but I am happy with it so far.

#sweepstakes. I love this hi-hat stand! It is super stable and well made. Even having various attachments on it, the stand maintaines its stability incredibly well. I feel the pedal has a great response. It just feels "right" to play. Thank you TAMA!

The stand is lightweight and the legs don't expand very far. Expect it to tip over from the slightest push.
Good for the money.

I actually liked this stand so much, I ordered the 600 series version. This is fine for normal use, but the HH605 is even better. This one works great and is responsive and fast enough for most drummers. Actually, it was probably the best hihat stand I ever owned—that is until I got the next one up. Hope this helps.

I'm just an amateur but I've been around drum equipment for forty years. This hi-hat stand is built very sturdy and looks like it will hold up well. I don't see any cons with this.
