TAMA Dual-sided Bass Drum Beater

A must have for anyone who owns a Tama kit that uses the Iron Cobra 200 bass drum pedal.

I got this beater to replace my stock Speed Cobra beater. The weight is equal to the Iron Cobra beater (10g) with the beater balancer all the way to the top. It has no moving parts which can be a plus or minus depending on how you look at it. I find this beater adds a little more punch to the hit compared to the Iron Cobra. Having the plastic option is a nice addition as well.

This is an okay beater, and I say okay because it is definitely on the heavy end of bass drum beaters for my me. Pros: Solid manufacturing, good felt for the sound, and hefty (if you like your beater heavy) Cons: No parts on the beater are adjustable, the felt does start softening with age which produces a unique sound but if you don't like that sound, as I said if you don't like the feel on your pedal to be heavy than this is not for you, and finally for a few more dollars you can purchase a really nice beater. But with all that said it does get the job done.
