    This is a great bonus stand for floor-tom conversion bop kits, looking for a use for that third leg bracket. These kinds of bass-mounted stalks were common in yesteryear, and I've seen them on many vintage kits, and own a vintage model. This is an improvement over the vintage in the sturdiness of the hardware, and the modern tilt mechanism. However, I was a little disappointed that the inner sheath L-bracket wasn't a little taller (as vintage mounts tend to be), being only partial height of the outer sheath.
