Description
Not only does the T-Rex PolySwitch AB let you split your stereo signal and switch between outputs, it also works "backwards," letting you run 2 separate stereo instruments into a single amplifier or other signal destination. And with every input and output available in stereo, PolySwitch AB is a great solution for keyboardists and anyone who needs to route a stereo signal to 2 destinations or 2 stereo signals to a single stereo in.
PolySwitch AB is specially engineered to protect the natural integrity of your sound all the way through the signal path. The T-Rex PolySwitch AB's true hardwire signal routing, top-grade electronics, and a built-in buffer switch for low-level signals from long cables ensure that you don't lose a single ounce of your precious tone.

Unconventional use ... but so far, so good.

I bought this pedal for an ... unconventional usage. I have two guitars and two amps. I always play Guitar1 through Amp1; always play Guitar2 through Amp2. But the catch is that I want them to share a chain of effects. Three features of this pedal were of interest to me: a) hardwired switching, b) reversibility, c) stereo left/right independence. These features mean that you can run the "left" and "right" channels effectively like two different A/B switches that are always in sync (both on "A", or both on "B"). So here's my crazy setup: Guitar1 -> "Output A - left"; Amp1 "Output B - left"; Amp2 "Input - right"; Fx input (the send) <- "Input - left". When the box is set to "A", signal flows from Guitar1 into the "output A - left" port of this pedal, out the "input - left" port, and into my effects chain. From there, it comes back into the pedal via the "input - right" port, where it flow out the "output A - right" port to Amp1. When the box is set to "B", it's exactly the same except it's all B's instead of A's, and of course Guitar2 and Amp2. I've used the pedal a couple of times, so far with great results. The switching is clean and pop-free. The device seems to have a sturdy build, etc. So, yeah, weird usage, I know, but ... so far so good! NOTE: There are other pedals designed to do precisely what I want, namely the "Carl Martin Route Box Double A/B Footswitch" (also sold here at Guitar Center). But that pedal is way more expensive.

Bought this AB Switch 2 weeks ago. got it because I wanted switch between to stereo signals. It works perfectly, made me start thinking of getting a second one to combine signal from 4 stereo rack systems in to 2 amps switching is crystal clear, no added noises or interference Definitely worth looking into this ab switch
