Description

The Suzuki Promaster Valved Harmonica is a 10-hole diatonic built with the same precision as the standard Promaster. This revolutionary harmonica features precision crafted reed plates for easy note bending and phosphor bronze reeds. The draw cycle valve system circulates air to allow note bending in the blow as well as the draw cycle. Its note bending abilities will make your music magical! Comes with a soft lined hardshell carrying case.

Valves-also known as windsavers-are typically used in chromatic harmonicas to prevent air from going into the reed that is not being played. For example, air from a blow reed does not escape through the slit for the draw reed. On a diatonic harmonica, valves make it more airtight and it becomes easier to bend the lower blow notes and upper draw notes by focusing more of the air to a single reed.

    I have many harmonicas, different brands and keys. I bought the Suzuki valves harp in key of A and I like it so much I will purchase two other keys. It is solid with rich even tone and yes easy for bends. But what I like most is the full sound when chording and playing melodic fills behind the band. Sometimes it sounds like a horn section.

    I can see a lot of thought went into this design. Very nicely made. The aluminum comb is smooth and a satisfyingly heavy weight. The covers have a comfortable rounded contour. The tone is good. Hopefully it will last along time.

    I have to agree with others, this guy is very lively, takes little air pressure to sound and bends on the blow with little effort. Rich sound, it's quickly becoming my favorite even over my Special 20's and Bushmans. And I get good volume even from the high registers. I'm not sure how this compares with the Overdrive model, I will probably pick one up if my next job comes through. Cheaper than the XB-40 which I haven't gotten my brain around spending that much for yet. Doesn't leave a red imprint on my hands because the plate comes out all the way to the edge of the harp. For a few bucks more than the non-valved version you would be crazy not to choose the upgrade.

    My wife purchased this harmonica from you guys for me a couple of years ago and it has a "dead"in it now can you recommend a repair company or is that something to guys do?
