Going strong 7 years in
This appears to be the same desk that I bought in 2011. They discontinued it for a while but I'm happy to see it being offered again. In short, buy this desk. It's a great size, and is sturdy as all get out. I'm a big guy, and I have no reservations about standing or sitting on it even all these years later, after moving it several times, taking it apart, and putting it back together. I don't know what the desktop is made of, but it's definitely not cheap particle board or mdf. It's some kind of plastic composite or something. It's crazy heavy. I remember when I bought it, I had to meet the freight truck driver on a main highway close to my house and load the thing into my Jetta, and then pull the box up my steps at home... I almost couldn't do it. It's a SOLID desk. It will last you for years. I'm considering replacing the bottom part as I had a dog that chewed up part of it and it looks bad. I had toyed with the idea of getting a new desk, but I just don't think I could part with it because of how well it's held up. I may replace the legs and recover the top, but I will keep this thing forever.

It's lasted 17 or 18 years.
I bought the RTA Creation Station Maple around 2004. It was my first desk and the only one that fit my space. The screws fell out over the years, the top rack/shelf had to be throw away, and the side wrapping has fallen off. The first 9 years were great, the rest, not so.

Easy to set up, shipping is kinda wild though, cost me an extra $100 to ship it to my house so be prepared for that. Great desk non the less.

You can order them from the manufacturer. When you get the desk they will have paperwork with a hotline where you can request replacement parts.submitted7 years ago

How is the open box? It has all the parts? Scratches? Thank you.
Gear returned in great condition, with only minor signs of use, such as slight scuffs or pick marks. It looks and plays like new and may be considered an equivalent to display units found in retail storessubmitted9 years ago

What are the dimensions?...especially the width of the desk top. Is there and optional keyboard tray?
The top shelf fits two 24" LED/LCD Monitors or one and a pair of nearfields that aren't too large ( I have a pair of Focal 6.5" on stands and two monitors). The desk tapers and is about 58" wide where you work and there is room for a keyboard and a narrow midi controller keys on one side, and a Presonus Faderport8 DAW controller on the other, plus an optical mouse/trackball and an Apollo Duo. Under the shelf is room for a 4u rackspace on each side. No idea about an optional keyboard tray...I don't need one myself. Very solid and easy to put together, and I like the way it feels and looks in my home studio. I am happy with it.Jeff Rubinrecording enthusiast
