Strymon PCH Stereo Active DI Box With Headphone Amp Black

Description
The Strymon PCH stereo active DI box with headphone amp redefines what a direct interface can be, combining pristine transparency with an integrated monitoring solution. Designed for pedalboards, keyboards and synth rigs, PCH ensures your sound reaches the PA, interface or FRFR speaker system with absolute clarity—then lets you hear it yourself through its console-grade headphone amp. Every element of the design is focused on reliability and sonic purity: high headroom, virtually unclippable operation and rock-solid construction. Whether you're performing live, recording or practicing silently, the PCH guarantees that what you hear is exactly what your audience hears—always accurate, always inspiring.
Stereo Active DI for Transparent, Uncolored Tone
At its core, the PCH is a stereo active DI engineered for flat, uncolored response. With an input impedance of 1 Mohm and ultralow distortion, it preserves the full frequency range of your instrument without loss or coloration. The dual-channel design supports stereo rigs or dual mono operation, making it flexible enough for bass, synths, guitar or even complex pedalboard chains. Thanks to its custom transformer and galvanic isolation, you can expect noise-free operation and rock-solid grounding in any setup. Switchable mic/line level outputs give you the versatility to feed anything from a stage PA to a studio console with absolute precision.
Onboard Headphone Amp for Private Monitoring
The defining feature of the PCH is its integrated console-quality headphone amplifier. Unlike traditional DIs that leave you guessing how your signal sounds in the mix, PCH delivers a direct window into your tone with studio-level clarity. It can easily power high-impedance headphones, making it ideal for late-night practice, silent rehearsals or live monitoring on stage. With a dedicated headphone volume control tucked safely behind the protective "awning" chassis design, you get full control over your listening experience without worrying about accidental bumps mid-performance. It's the rare DI that empowers you to hear your sound exactly as it's being delivered.
Virtually Unclippable Performance With High Headroom
PCH takes its power seriously—running on a standard 9V supply but internally converting it to a ±12V (24V total) system for enormous headroom. This means it can handle input levels up to +20dBu without clipping, preserving every transient and harmonic detail no matter how hot your signal. The result is an incredibly dynamic, open sound that translates pedalboards and synth patches with lifelike accuracy. With noise floors as low as –115 dBV and signal-to-noise ratios exceeding +135 dB, it's as quiet as it is powerful. Whether on stage or in the studio, you'll experience flawless translation of your rig with zero compromise.
Rugged Strymon Build and Player-Centric Design
Every aspect of the PCH's physical design is engineered for reliability and ease of use. Its extruded aluminum shell, reinforced with 5 mm ribs, makes it strong enough to withstand demanding touring schedules while remaining lightweight on a pedalboard. The unique awning-style chassis shields the headphone volume pot and jacks from accidental kicks or cable strain while still allowing easy access. Premium jacks, switches and components are chosen for longevity and consistent performance, ensuring years of dependable service. From its defeatable ground lift and thru-sum options to its clearly labeled controls, the PCH is a problem-solving workhorse disguised as a minimalist pedal.
A Complete DI Solution for Modern Musicians
The Strymon PCH stereo active DI box with headphone amp isn't just another utility pedal—it's a cornerstone for modern players who demand both precision and convenience. Its transparent sound, robust feature set and integrated headphone monitoring make it equally at home in live venues, recording studios or bedroom practice setups. With switchable mic/line XLR outputs, defeatable ground lift, galvanic isolation and ultralow noise performance, it integrates seamlessly into any rig. Built to deliver an uncompromised signal path and an accurate listening reference, PCH ensures your music reaches both your ears and your audience with integrity. For those who take their tone seriously, it's the definitive DI solution.

This worked great for what I needed it for! I needed something that allowed me to play at night that I could put at the end of my pedalboard and monitor my playing. Lots of things I tried didn't work well with my high Ohm headphones or they just had horrible sound. Great Sound and quality!
