Sterling Audio Harmony H224 Recording Starter Pack

Description
The Sterling Harmony H224 Recording Starter Pack contains all the hardware and software you need to turn your computer into a music and content recording studio. Create projects from start to finish with the versatile Harmony H224 audio interface, clear SP150/130 studio condenser microphones and comfortable S400 studio headphones. While this may be a starter pack, the H224 interface features studio-grade circuitry, step metering and flexible monitoring to help you achieve professional results. Two 15' Livewire Essential XLR microphone cables are also included with nickel-plated Rean connectors, a 24-gauge dual conductor design and spiral copper shielding.
Harmony H224 Audio Interface
This powerful interface features discrete Class A preamps and 192kHz converters, along with an ergonomic console design with input/output ladder metering. In-line PAD and high pass filters are included on each input channel. Dedicated instrument inputs disengage rear inputs when a guitar or bass is plugged in. The H224 audio interface is bus powered, with no external power supply required.
SP150/130 Microphones
The H224 audio interface comes with a side-address vocal-style condenser mic, plus a pencil-style instrument condenser mic to cover most applications. A Class-A FET design provides full-frequency response, while a cardioid pickup pattern rejects unwanted back and side noise. Microphone mounts and a carry case are also included.
S400 Headphones
These studio headphones feature 40 mm drivers for superior sound reproduction. 90-degree rotatable ear cups allow for comfort and monitoring, while a foldable design allows for convenient storage and transport. The S400 headphones fit over the ear for excellent sound isolation.

Easy to use, sounds good. Headphones are a little weak on volume but sound pretty good Mike's are okay. Better than you would expect for the price. I am not very knowledgeable of computers. So it took me a while to figure it out but when I did it worked fine. Try it for yourself I don't think you will be disappointed.
This is a great deal !

I would buy again for a gift, and for someone who is starting to get involved learning music recording and who is on a budget, I can see someone learning the basics and then moving on to a more complex setup, but overall very satisfied with the product, you get what you pay for and it is nice.
I would not buy this product again.

Tried for several days to get it to download. Talk to customer service and got no help at all. Went through windows three or four times still would not download. After my 4th or 5th try with Windows they finally tell me my system won't support it.. it was a complete and utter waste of time.
Great Pack!

This pack has everything I need to start recording music. The headphones are clear and have fidelity. The main unit has low noise and crystal clear fidelity, as well. The microphones are clear and bright with both vocals and instruments. The pack was a great deal at 30% off the retail listed price!

This would be my first attempt with recording. Are there play by play instructions for an amateur to follow in order to make a quality sound?
Unfortunately, no. The unit is an interface. It will tell you if have a correct input signal, nothing else. Your sound quality will depend on your DAW, the bit rate, the sample rate, input level, source material, etc. If you require play by play instructions than you need to do a lot a research. Home, or any recording, has a relatively steep learning curve.submitted3 years ago

Does the interface have a USB port?
Yes it does. It's how it's powered.
