Squier Hello Kitty Stratocaster and Fender x Hello Kitty Fuzz Pedal | Demo and Overview with Vixen
Description
Some guitars just make you smile before you even play them—the Squier × Hello Kitty Stratocaster will have you grinning every time you plug in. In 2024, Hello Kitty celebrated her 50th anniversary in grand style, punctuated by a special partnership between the popular brand and Fender. This limited-edition Strat blends pop-culture fun with serious playability. It features a poplar body, smooth maple neck and fingerboard and a single Fender-designed humbucking pickup that delivers punchy, full-bodied tone. A gloss pink finish with matching headstock and Hello Kitty artwork adds unmistakable personality while the comfortable C-shape neck profile and 9.5" radius make it inviting for players of any level. Whether you’re a collector, performer or lifelong fan of all things Sanrio, this guitar balances kawaii style with classic Fender feel.
Classic Strat Tone With a Playful Twist
Behind the cheerful design lies true Fender tone. The single Fender-designed alnico bridge humbucker packs enough output for crunchy riffs, bright cleans and everything in between. Combined with a six-saddle hardtail bridge, the Squier × Hello Kitty Stratocaster offers rock-solid tuning stability and impressive sustain. It’s an instrument that’s as fun to look at as it is to play—in other words, it's cute but seriously capable.
Comfortable Build and Everyday Playability
Beneath the colorful finish, the lightweight poplar body and bolt-on maple neck deliver the fast, responsive feel that players expect from a Fender-family instrument. The 21 medium-jumbo frets and satin-finished neck back encourage long playing sessions without fatigue while the compact body size makes it approachable for younger or smaller players.
Hello Kitty Charm Meets Fender Heritage
From its bow-adorned pickguard to its matching headstock art, the Hello Kitty Stratocaster captures the playful spirit of Sanrio’s most beloved icon. Underneath the whimsical design however is classic Fender craftsmanship—the same DNA that’s defined generations of guitars. This model underlines Fender and Hello Kitty’s collaboration, blending the brand's timeless aesthetics with American guitar heritage for a look and sound that are unmistakably unique.
A Limited-Edition Collectible With Real Star Power
Whether you’re chasing nostalgia, celebrating Hello Kitty or simply want a guitar that stands out from the crowd, the Squier × Hello Kitty Stratocaster is equal parts conversation piece and stage companion. It’s proof that rock ’n’ roll and pop culture make the perfect pair.

I got it for the memes (it makes me smile), but it's honestly better than I expected. The price is up when compared to the first round of these in pink, and to be clear, you can get more features at this price point by looking elsewhere... even the MIM Fender Strats start at only about a hundred bucks more. That being said, the fit and finish is noticeably better than my other Squire, so that was surprising. Neck feels good to play (as long as you like painted/lacquered necks), the pickup is serviceable, and the matching painted headstock is a nice touch. The matching gig bag is nicer on the outside than in, but I appreciate that it comes with one. Overall, it's an overpriced gimmick, but that doesn't mean it's not a nice Squire that plays well.

Yes this was an impulse buy, but it might be my go to axe! TL;DR: Great rock machine with a few (forgivable) hiccups. The sustain is really surprising coming from a Squier, let alone a Hello Kitty branded one. I'm pleasantly surprised by the single humbucker in the bridge. It's a little thin when you really push it with some gain, but it's phenomenal for clean and fuzz tones. (yes I bought the matching Hello Kitty fuzz). The neck feels great and it's not too glossy. The tuners are alright. I'm such a sucker for locking tuners, but I can't bring myself to replace the cute white button tuners! The single volume pot doesn't really make a difference at/below 4, might replace with a CTS. Pros: -Vibes. I mean c'mon? -Neck feel is comfortable even with a glossy finish -Fret work is phenomenal -Tuning stability is great -Did I mention the vibes? Cons: -Thin bridge pickup when pushed hard with high gain -Pot is poorly but not scratchy -Weight is just a little heavier than I like (7lbs 15 oz) Overall I give this guitar a 8.6/10. #sweepstakes

I have the black and pink hello kitty guitars from 2008 i think. 🤔 and now i got the new pink one and love it. 😍 I am a little sad that I didn't get the white one coz Fender website has no paypal that you can pay in 4 or monthly. 😭

I bought this because I thought it would be funny and I wanted to put a high output pickup in it for metal. It actually plays better than I thought and the neck feels pretty good. Also sounds better than my other cheap old squire, although I think I'll still swap the pickup.
