Good for beginners that's for sure.
I am a beginner and can strum at 3-5 chords along with some bar chords just not as fast. I started out on acoustic which lasted for about 5 months then switched to electric (this one). It's been about a week since i've had this guitar and i have no complaints only that the amp cuts out sometimes when i'm playing. I'm not sure if it's the cord or the amp or both but i've switched to a different amp that my dad had stored away, so it's pretty old but is way better than the one the guitar comes with. I recommend just getting a better amp when playing with this guitar or any guitar you're starting out with really. My guitar playing skills have gotten better because it is true when they say electric is easier. I can bar chords better and switch chords faster. One thing is I'm not sure if this is my fault or it's just the fact that this is a cheap guitar, but the nut has gotten dirty pretty fast for just having it for almost two weeks. I do wipe down everything with a dry micro cloth but maybe I forget to get the nut? I'm not sure, again I am a beginner and am still learning about the instrument itself. For now I have been playing with the strings it came with and they are playable but I will be switching them out once the time comes. Other than that, I do think this guitar is great for beginners like I said before. OBVIOUSLY THIS GUITAR IS HIGH STATUS OMG HOW ISNT THIS WORTH 5K????? but it does the job!!!! the guitar is cheap for a reason!!! and it is good enough where you will be able to get better at playing. The color is very beautiful and the guitar itself is beautiful as a whole. To some this guitar is trash to others this guitar is the best thing ever. It all comes down to how long you've been playing and your knowledge about the instrument itself. My opinion can change the farther I get into this instrument but for now this is it.

Junk!
I haven't had an electric guitar since I was a teenager and wanted an inexpensive one just to get back in the game. After reading many positive reviews and watching several videos on YouTube, I thought I would give it a chance, although I had very low expectations given the price point. Boy, was I right. This thing is junk! It will not hold tune even during the tuning process. By the time you get all 6 strings "tuned"...the first string is already flat. And don't even think about actually playing it in tune. It ain't happening. I hate that they call this a "beginner's" guitar. I'm sure many kids have completely given up on the guitar, as I did, because the lousy Chinese piece of wood with strings was just too frustrating to enjoy learning. Now, you could do what all the bloggers and Youtubers suggest and put another $300 worth of upgraded parts in this piece of junk to make it close to playable. Or, you could save yourself, and/or your child, the frustration and just pony up the money for a good guitar. Also, the amp in this kit is about as good as the backseat speaker in your grandmother's car. If there is anything good I can say about this guitar, it is a nice color and seems to be painted well. I wanted a white guitar to offset my black Yamaha APX600 acoustic. Which, by the way, is a much better guitar.

How do you use the tremolo?
By pressing down on the arm, the string tension is increased, which lowers the pitch of the note. Releasing the arm then allows the string to relax, returning to its original pitch. The tremolo arm can also be used to create vibrato by moving it back and forth while the note is held.submitted3 years ago
