I've been a fan of the Squier guitars for a long time. This is another hit. Out of the box, all I had to do was tune it up and I was able to start playing. All I have done is put a new set of strings on, a small adjustment of the truss rod, and added some strap locks. The tuners feel good and turn smoothly. I would happily take this to play at a gig if I needed to. #sweepstakes

For the price +10% discount, the guitar is worth it. Decent craftsmanship , using budget materials. It plays good after a setup. The neck is good even though the wood is definitely budget grain etc. Fret ends were decent. The nut is short on both ends, but that's probably to eliminate having to actually fit and finish the nut, cutting down on production time. Pickup sounds ok. My major gripe isn't the guitar, but the fact that Guitar Center sent me a floor model from a local store. It had some fingerprints, dirty strings and was shipped in a non original box without a truss rod tool or any hang tags. It wasn't warehouse fresh. That's BAD procedure! I will not be buying a guitar online from GC ever again.

The sonic esquire is a great addition to any guitarist collection, whether beginner or a seasoned pro. It makes for a great modding platform as well as a really well put together stock guitar. The body is resonant and has a nice low mid range thump and growl, the Maple neck is a nice feeling not to thick but thick enough to feel some substance when ripping or chugging riffs, solos and all points in between. The pickup has ample sustain and punch, roll back the volume to clean up and get dynamic, turn up the volume and enjoy some snarling growl. You really can't go wrong here with this one and if you liked the bullet series you will love the sonic series. There's something about simplicity that speaks volumes, and the single humbucker volume tone configuration does that very well. You get a lot of guitar for very little cash with this one and the quality is really up there with guitars costing 2 to 3 time's the price.

    How much does it weigh

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. I'm sorry but I don't have one to weigh. This will be approximately 7.5 – 8.5 lbs

Would it be possible to install a Floyd Rose bridge on the body??

    Open Reply - Gear-Adviser
I'm sorry but no. Modifications are not available. It can be done but would be a very expensive and difficult mod.
