Description

The limited-edition Classic Vibe '60s Stratocaster HSS by Squier provides a musical experience inspired by a pivotal era in rock music. Featuring a trio of Fender-designed pickups—including a bridge humbucker and two single coils—it offers a variety of tones from spanky cleans to hot, overdriven leads. The slim, comfortable C-shaped neck and 9.5" radius Indian laurel fingerboard make navigating the 21 narrow tall frets an effortless endeavor for any player.

Vintage-Inspired Pickups and Electronics Provide Iconic Tones

The pickups and electronics were designed to emulate the sound of a 1960s Stratocaster, producing tones from bright and chimey to warm and gritty. The bridge humbucker delivers a hot, crunchy lead tone, while the middle and neck single coils produce the glassy cleans and 2/4 switch position quack the Strat is known for. A 5-way switch lets you select pickups individually or in combination, and the dual tone controls enable shaping the sound to your needs.

Comfortable Neck and Fingerboard Suited for All Playing Styles

The slim C-shaped neck has a smooth, satin finish and narrow tall frets that make it comfortable for all playing techniques. The 9.5" radius Indian laurel fingerboard has a flatter curve that some players find easier to navigate during complex chording and soloing. The combination provides an ideal platform for exploring the Strat's varied tones.

Vintage-Style Bridge Provides Expressive String Bending

The vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge allows you to perform extreme string bends and add texture with a subtle warble or dramatic dive bomb. With six individually adjustable saddles, you can ensure perfect intonation for optimal tone and playability up and down the fingerboard.

Vintage Looks to Match the Vintage Sound

With its painted headstock, tortoiseshell pickguard and nickel hardware, this Strat has the visual vibe to match its vintage tone. The satin finish on the maple neck gives it a comfortably played-in feel, while the glossy polyurethane body finish shows off the figured grain of the poplar. Every detail comes together to transport you to an iconic era in music.

  • The most beautiful guitar I own

The pictures on the website do not do this guitar justice. It is without a doubt the most beautiful guitar I own or have ever owned, for that matter. Some of it is the luck of the draw when it comes to the woods chosen for a specific guitar, but someone setting out to build a totally custom instrument could hardly have done better. Plays great, too. The pickups have a, well, classic vibe to them, very Stratty including in the 2 position. I don't know if the humbucker splits in that position but you can definitely go the full Knopfler if you like. The neck pickup is as you'd expect, which is superb. I had planned to have a bit of an HSS Strat-style shootout with a few other options, but I can't really imagine sending this thing back.
