Squier Classic Vibe Jaguar Bass 3-Color Sunburst
The Squier Classic Vibe Jaguar Bass is a retro-styled 4-string that turns up the volume on throwback cool. This short-scale bass combines the iconic Jaguar body shape with dual Fender-designed alnico pickups for a massive tone that pops through any mix. The slim, comfortable C-shaped neck and 9.5" fretboard radius make this bass a joy to play, whether practicing at home or performing on stage.
Dual Fender-Designed Pickups
The Jaguar Bass's split-coil P Bass neck pickup and J Bass bridge pickup, both with alnico 5 magnets, provide a range of vintage-flavored tones from warm and round to bright and punchy. Volume and tone controls for each pickup allow for fine-tuning your sound.
Vintage-Style Bridge
The Jaguar Bass's vintage-style bridge features slotted barrel saddles for solid intonation and sustain. Combined with the 32" short scale, this bridge helps the Jaguar Bass produce a warm, resonant tone with rich overtones.
'70s-Inspired Style
This throwback Squier bass also features '70s-inspired headstock markings, nickel-plated hardware and a slick vintage-tint gloss neck finish for an old-school vibe. Available in classic black, the Jaguar Bass embodies the rebellious spirit of the original Fender design.
Player-Friendly Features
With its slim, comfortable neck profile, 9.5" fretboard radius and narrow frets, the Jaguar Bass plays fast and feels familiar. A real bone nut enhances tone and tuning stability, allowing the Jaguar Bass to keep up with any playing style.

Ordered this and they shipped me a demo floor model that was all greasy and the pickguard marked up. I returned it and decided to buy the Fender Jaguar limited Ed. Instead.
Surprising - in a good way

This plays and sounds like a much more expensive bass. It's edging out some more expensive options as the-one-you-pick-up-first. P/J means you can play different styles and sound really solid on all of them. Love the stacked vol/tone knobs! Unless you absolutely have to play in the key of F, get this bass!

this is my applifier bass since I play a Fender accoustic bassin my roots/americana big band, 3 of us myself, one bass viol player and one dobro player own these basses ir red, black and silver, Our bass viol player uses it in the winter when we split up and play 3 different inside venues, She thinks it is user friendly and compare favorably to her bass viol, Our dobro plAYER REALLY LIKES THE BASS BUT HAS TO FREQUENTLY ADJUST THE NECK WHICH HE ATTRIBURTES TO THESE iNDONESIAN GUITARS being made of wet wood that is not aged. I really like how fast the neck is, I owned a 1967 fender mustang as my first bass in 1967 and it acompares favorable to the California made bass. I wish it had the option of the string dam per that the mustang had, My silver bass with black head is strikingly beautiful, So here you have three reviews of 5 from 3 different kinds of bass players. I traded oin my Squier PJ Precision for my and it was a happy trade--With my short arms, big hands and short fingers the Jaguar really mades itmuch easier to play. Again my comparrrion guitars were a 67 Mustang, a 67 Gibson EB-O and a 2019 PJ Precission. the Jaguar is easily the best of the bunch, its a bit hard to compare it to my Fender Accoustic Bass since that Fenderf is made from a totally different perspective, And I would try to get an Indonmesian made instrument as I thionk their build quality is better than Chinese instruments, And Pau Fero fingerboard is a really pretty shade of geyish brown, very much distinctive caompared to the roasewood finger boards onm all of my other previous and current basses, Workmanship on my guitar is top rate.

I will start with the cons. Seems the Classic Vibe quality has slipped a bit, feels more like a standard Squier offering in terms of the fret buzz (even after good setup) making it difficult to get low action..and the frustrating but all too common fret ends tearing at my fingers. Pluses: lightweight 7.9 lbs, though it does neck dive a bit. 32" scale, a good compromise if you want more comfort but dont want a true short scale. Concentric vol/tone is cool (assuming you can get more responsive strings/pickups to hear the effects of tone managment). The jazz width at nut on a (essentially) P bass is welcome. Not really in the cons dept, because i was not surprised that the strings are terrible (cant they at least use Fender basic strings?) and pickups are nothing to get excited about. Conclusion: once you change strings, upgrade pickups, dress the fret ends and hopefully get the bass to accept a low action you have the right ingredients for a cool bass with its 32 scale, 1.5 nut and nifty controls. Too bad the Vibe series out of the box is not up to the standards of a few years ago.
