I know the Squiers haven't had great build quality in the past but these Classic Vibes are really rock solid with barely any setup needed. Stays in tune for days and the feel makes me want to take it off the wall and play every time I see it. I'm a longtime piano/synth player and did a ton of research on what brand and model I wanted. I already have a Dean acoustic I picked up a long time ago, but wanted something to plug in. I have a wide variety of influences including rock, indie, classic, jazz, and country, but my main inspiration is modern metal. I was skeptical about Tele's considering the country heritage. But hearing the combo of single pickup for cleaner tones and the humbucker for heavy helped persuade me, considering how wide my taste runs (and finding a couple metal guitarists who play Tele as well). The feel is in a totally different league than my acoustic, great spacing for my regular-adult size hands from 1st fret to 24th. I plug it into an Ibanez Tube Screamer with a ProCo Rat distortion and the humbucker onboard gives it some growl. Drop a Compressor on there like the MXR DynaComp or Keely and the single pickup gets sharp and plucky. Mix them and add some delays, phasers and chorus to get stoner/psych vibes. The versatility of this guitar is really nice and I would very much get another (maybe the two humbucker model?).

Really good feel, the minute the package arrived I started playing with it. Not even adjusting the pickups and the guitar had a great sound to it.

I had recently purchased a Bullet model (red sparkle) excellent guitar I might add. I always had a desire for a sunburst tele with a maple neck. Skyler at the Wichita store found a used one at another store and, had it sent to Wichita. I went to check it out and, it was just exactly what I wanted. Had a couple of chips on the backside of the body but, the front was perfect. A little black laquer and, the chips barely showed. All the cosmetic issues resolved, I set it up with a new set of strings and, I was astonished at the sound of this instrument, the humbucker has probably the best sound of ANY humbucker that I own, very powerful, full, deep throaty twang! I had to lower it because it was so powerful but, that was the key! Mix it with the single coil in the bridge and, the sound is fabulous! Each pickup on its own is excellent. Bridge has nice snap and, slap just like a Tele should and, that humbucker just is ballsy as you would ever want in a Humbucker. I am very pleased with this guitar. While I was at the store I checked out a Fender Deluxe Nashville Telecaster, really liked it but, way out of line in price. Even used they are out of sight. I wish Squier had one, I would bet it would be just as good and, a heck of a lot lower in price. I really love Fender but, they are pricing themselves out of the market for musicians like myself that would love to own and, play a decent guitar at a reasonable price point. Before I found this classic vibe Tele I purchased an Affinity sunburst model which after about 3hrs. trying to get it setup I boxed it up and, sent it back and, continued my journey to finding this classic vibe sunburst tele which is just an excellent guitar! Highly recommended!!!!

What is the weight of the guitar ?? Classic Vibe '70s Telecaster Custom Maple Fingerboard Electric Guitar

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. I'm sorry but I don't have one to weigh. This will be approximately 7.5 lbs,
