Mine came with a broken G string but that was an easy replacement at home. Sounds great with my rumble 25 amp. Classic fender look and sound for an affordable price.
Good bass.

I bought this for my nephew who plays in the praise and worship band at churh. He liked the way it played, and liked that it felt lighter than the bass he was using. Workmanship was good.

I had ordered one and picked her up at GC today. Right out of its box I tuned her up and she felt great. I'm very particular about action/setup but I don't see where an additional setup right now will do that much more for this instrument. The factory intonation seems very good and the fit-n-finish is excellent. This bass is well made: the fit of the neck and body is excellent, the finish (black) is even with a proper feel to, pick guard is cut well and the neck feels righteous. I'd read some reviews that bummed out on the color of the fret board, that it wasn't dark enough. The fret board on mine looks fine, materials used being what they are. Though some aficionados/snobs might say different, the tone is what you'd expect from a Fender Jazz Bass. Only with a most critical eye will I say how the fret edges could use only the slightest (slightest) filing, how there's a small, faint finish blemish where the neck meets the body on the E-string side and how there's an almost imperceptible tool mark on the first fret near the E and nut. But those three items only add to the vibe (face it- folks would part with a lot more(!) money for a legit 60's Jazz that plays as well as mine does but was also beat to hell lol). Get one today: GREAT value, GROOVE, UTILITY, looks COOL and you won't beat the price unless your uncle Fritz decides to give you his bass because he no longer plays. Really.

What is blemished on the bass
Typically they are light scratches or a ding. Nothing major, and nothing that affects the way it plays.
