8 Years Old and Still as Cool as Ever
I bought my black metallic Squier Bullet eight years ago when GC was having a Columbus Day sale. I was looking for a guitar to which I could permanently mount my Roland GR-33 guitar synth's GK2a pickup. Previously I had the pickup mounted on my '96 Strat, and I didn't like this fit because I couldn't close my Strat's case with the pickup installed. I have a gig bag for this Squier, and it fits fine in the bag with pickup installed. Anyway, about the guitar. Right out of the box, it played great, requiring only a minimal amount of action adjustment. I was surprised at how good the pickups sounded, it being a Bullet and all. But the humbucker sounds especially nice when playing the guitar through my Marshall. The neck pickup has a decent sound, but not quite up to the snuff of a good alnico pickup. Still, for what the guitar cost, I really can't complain. If I want to, at some later date, I can always change out the neck pickup to a better alnico model. One thing I especially like about this black Bullet is its looks. The photos here at GC don't show it off all that well, but the guitar body's finish is metallic and the pickguard is a heavy metal flake. It looks spectacular under the lights. And the black hardware does a great job of completing that black look. The Bullet's body is thinner than a typical Strat or Squier Affinity or Classic Vibe body. The result is a light weight guitar, but there is no sacrifice in tone.

pure trash
the one my friend owned had crazy fret buzz with high action, and the thing was not intonated the tuners did not do a good job it didn't stay in tune at all, the pickups were the worst id ever heard the humbucker hummed more than the single coils, the fretboard was dryer than my grandma so bending sounded like nails on a chalkboard. and this was his first guitar and it had this many problems he so couldn't fix them. DON"T BUY THIS!!

The guitar had a crease in the body and the guard is not at all the color in this pic. It would be much cooler if it was. It's ok for a cheap guitar.
Do not buy this

I received this Guitar from my grandfather and it was alright at first but after a month it started loosing its tune holding and the pickups started to give way, when I plug it into an amp the bridge pickup doesn't turn on I have to kinda hit it so it'll turn on.
I would buy again

I'm mostly a bass guy and when I do play guitar I use my tele, so i was looking for an affordable strat to tinker with new sounds. This guitar is absolutely perfect for that. It was set up almost perfect out of the box, all i really had to do was oil the fretboard because it came pretty dry and change the strings to my preference. Although the electronics aren't the highest quality they're way better than i expected for the price. It's also much lighter than my telecaster and feels more comfortable when playing, meaning i can play for considerably longer without getting that dreaded guitar induced back and neck pain. The only issue I really have is the tuners, you can't really expect anything more for the price point but if you change up the tuning of your guitar a lot it would be worth it to upgrade to locking tuners. If you're also someone who likes to mod your guitars this is a great choice.

I snagged one of these up (trem version) recently. Burst with all black hardware. It has the thinner body, but solid wood. Not plywood. The neck was actually really nice with tons of birds eye and visual character. They just don't finish them nice enough to do them justice. So I did

so i got one of these guitars a while ago, i realized the person at the store i got it from lied about taking off the plastic. i took it off and the humbucker felt loose, is that okay? should it be slightly loose? the single coils are fine.
A little bit of movement is alright, but if they are rattling around that's too much.
