I've played for less than a year and this thing is great. It can do what I need to do to practice. It feels great to play and just to have fun. The only thing is I wish it was set up for 10s and not 9s.

She doesn't play an instrument. Trying to get her interested. I myself have several guitars, mostly Fender Strats along with several amps. Been playing since 1959.

I'm a longtime acoustic guitar player. Being a lefty, it's been hard to find an inexpensive but playable entry-level electric. My Squier Affinity fits the bill. The neck is great, & the action & intonation were close to perfect right out of the box. All it needed was new strings. Fret ends could have been finished a bit better, but they're decent enough. Pickups aren't super hot, but they're perfectly adequate for a mostly home & jamming musician like me. The rest of the electronics seem solid. Would've liked better tuners, but these are certainly usable. Overall, a good, honest starter instrument. Nothing fancy, but plenty of fun!

I live outside of the US, and have all of my guitars there. I bought this to have something to play when I come home to visit my family, as I don't want to not have an instrument to play for weeks at a time. Honestly was not expecting much from this guitar, but for the money, it FAR exceeds my expectations. Great fun to play, and I don't believe a legitimate criticism can be made of it given the cost.
