Description

The Squier Affinity Series Telecaster FMT SH is an ideal first electric guitar that provides versatile tone and playability. With a lightweight, resonant body topped by an eye-catching flame maple veneer and a comfortable neck, this Tele feels great in your hands. Powered by single-coil and humbucker pickups, you get shimmering cleans, growling distortion and everything in between.

Eye-Catching Looks Meet Classic Sound

The Affinity Series Telecaster's flame maple top gives it a stylish burst of visual flair to match its full-bodied tone. A single-coil bridge pickup delivers the bright, punchy sound that made the Telecaster famous. Add in a warm humbucking neck pickup and you have a versatile combination for playing any musical style.

Resonant Construction and Smooth Playability

The Affinity Series Telecaster's lightweight body is crafted from resonant woods to produce full, balanced tone. Its slim, comfortable neck profile lets you play at any speed with ease. Sealed die-cast tuning machines keep it in tune through hours of playing. Combined with its string-through-body bridge, you get optimal resonance and sustain.

Versatile Pickups Shape Your Sound

This Telecaster is equipped with a Squier single-coil bridge pickup and a humbucking neck pickup for tonal variety. The single-coil pickup produces the bright, punchy tone that the Telecaster is known for. When you need more power, the humbucker delivers fuller, warmer output for rock and alternative styles. A 3-position blade lets you access each pickup individually or blend them together for even more shades of sound.

Vintage-Style Bridge Provides Optimal Resonance

A string-through-body bridge transfers string vibrations directly into the guitar body, enhancing resonance and sustain. This traditional Telecaster bridge design helps give chords and single notes alike a lively, resonant character. The bridge also features individual saddles for each string so you can adjust intonation and action with precision.

I had to order this guitar to my location. It was shipped store to store. The packaging was in terrible shape. My guitar has a nickel size chunk of finish, all the way to the wood on the backside, near the edge, just under the jack. Guitar Center was very good in discounting the guitar, so I am keeping it because aside from that ding, it's in pristine condition. After a professional setup and a string change to 11's, this guitar is doing it's job in standard d, which is why I bought it in the first place. The pickups are a little hot, but very doable for now. I personally really like the middle position that engages both pickups. I personally play backup when my son plays or classical using a little reverb and delay.
