Description
The Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Deluxe is a fantastic step-up guitar for beginners looking for upgraded features that won't break the bank. Whether it's the first guitar, or the next guitar in a collection, this Affinity Tele offers a host of player-friendly enhancements. From the lightweight and comfortable design to cosmetic upgrades to improved hardware, there's a lot to love about this electric guitar. Be sure to order yours from Guitar Center today.

Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Deluxe Main Features

  • Thin and lightweight body
  • Slim and comfortable C-shaped neck profile with laurel fingerboard
  • Two Squier humbucking pickups
  • String-thru-body bridge

Thin and Lightweight Body

Squier knew that improving the sound of the Affinity Series didn't have to come at the cost of comfort. The thin, lightweight design produces a warm resonance and actually offers a better feel, with more control. It's comfortable to hold and easier to pick up and play.

Slim C-shaped Neck

For additional comfort, these Affinity Telecasters feature a C-shaped neck. Players of many different styles often find it an ideal shape that improves the ease of playing. With the Indian laurel fingerboard, it's easy to get a smooth, balanced response from this electric.

Squier Humbucking Pickups

The Affinity Tele Deluxe features two proprietary Squier humbucking pickups. These add versatility and control over the volume and tone, allowing the Telecaster to adjust to plenty of genres—rock, country, blues, R&B and more.

String-thru-body Hardtail Bridge

The Affinity Deluxe models also feature a string-thru-body hardtail bridge. Previous Affinity Telecasters featured a top-loaded bridge. With the string-thru-body, these guitars have better tuning stability, as well as improved sustain and resonance.

The sealed die-cast tuning machines feature split shafts. This helps achieve more accurate tuning. And since strings always need to be replaced eventually—whether they break or just need a refresh—this feature also makes restringing the Affinity Telecaster a breeze. Plus, this prevents the string ends from damaging the gig bag, since they sit inside the shaft.

Nice tones and quality is much improved from entry level Squiers of recent past. Also a great base for modding if that's your gig. Plays well and neck feels nice. Weakest link is tuners but could also be but groove I haven't dug in to that yet.

  • I would buy again.

Very nice quality & finish, looks awesome! Setup good to go, maple neck & laurel fingerboard & frets smooth & easy. Humbuckers sound nice & beefy, controls work well, like the the vintage headstock decals. Great guitar especially in this price range, used in as main guitar at a gig same week!

It's a solid guitar for the price its just that the frets are kinda tall so thers little fretbuzz and also the bridge pickup suddenly stoped working. Overall its a good guitar with some issues.

  • Great value , very well built

The Fender Tele locking tuners would fit this guitar. The Seymour Duncan Humbucker Pearly Gates pick ups would also be compatible.
